Not all domains are created equal. Some reward specialization, while others favor generalization. David Epstein uses the terms wicked and kind to describe these different types of domains. Wicked environments are more open-ended, diverse, and uncertain. Kind environments have immediate and reliable feedback that can guide improvement.
